Illustration Friday: RED

I have been wanting to try to break into
children's book illustration for awhile.
I thought I might use the topics on IF to
inspire me to build up my portfolio.
I scanned in pencil drawing and used
Painter to add color. I tried to stick with
the pastel & chalk brushes to give it a
little texture.

Your illustrations are top notch. You have that Disney style touch to your work which I find amazing. Great website as well.

this is excellent! You could do any medium or texture and it would be great because the basic drawing skills are there and are strong. Plus, you must have used reference for these creatures, no?

Thanks everyone for the great compliments. I have checked out
all of your sites and everyone does
great work. It is amazing how one little word can invoke so many ideas.
I did and image search on lobsters for reference. The fish
I doodled until I got one I liked.
